the jet stream is way up into the southern part of canada. we want this ridge to break down, and that's not going to happen until friday or saturday. but we'll get the temperatures back into the 80's by send or over the weekend. i want to take a trip down to the tropics. the hurricane center is watching this system in the caribbean for possible tropical development f. it becomes a tropical storm, its name would be bonnie, and it could be drifting into the gulf of mexico. so it's possible that there could be a tropical storm in the gulf later on this week. the forecast for the next couple of days, exactly the same, upper 90's to around 100. the difference is, during the middle of the week, the humidity is going to go up. so the heat index during the middle of the week may be up around 105 or 106. that won't be the case today. 20% or 30% chance for thunderstorms late friday and into saturday, and that little system should break the heat wave and get the temperatures back into the 80's by sunday. certainly something to look forward to. back to t
